Fearless Earth Team worked on this Ruin for a couple of months, on and off, in Maçãs de Dona Maria, Portugal. They really did a great job, complete restoration, an amazing finish. All the plumbing, electrical, wood work, plastering, painting and installation of all household fixtures done themselves. Great work guys👍

The guys @FearlessEarth finished the deck at our Ruin in Pedrógão Pequeno, really looking good, its taken a while but it’s almost complete and ready to be rented out. Well done team!

A little update on the ruin we’ve been chipping away at for months now. Juggling work, play, rebuilding a ruin and much more is proving to be very time consuming and taking longer than expected, but we are slowly getting there, slow and steady wins the race right?

We cleared out and leveled the basement of a ruin to make it a useable space that you are able to stand in. We had to break through a lot of rock and remove it to get the ground level.

Mounted our 12 adjustable solar panels. They are set so we can tilt them in different degrees, depending on the season. The frames are custom made by one of our employees. One step closer to off-grid living!!

We’ve been spending most of our time for the last 5 weeks restoring this beautiful Ruin, to create a cozy living space, put in the second level today, we cut the planks ourself using our chainsaws and sawmill, the trees were cut down and left to rot, we couldn’t let them go to waste like that, now we have a stunning secure floor.  We’re so excited to watch the progress and really see this place transform.

Our team working hard everyday to restore an old ruin into a beautiful livable home, we used the makita Jackhammer to break the rock to level out the ground, a CAT Mini excavator to move sand and rubble, a cement mixer to mix concrete for the floor, plus many other useful tools. We’re very excited to watch the progress of this wonderful project and can’t wait to see the final product, I will keep you all updated.

We layed down stones and sand, used the Honda GX plate compactor to compact the ground, getting it ready to concrete.

Outdoor, treated deck, took 8 days to complete.
